Давайте прибегнем к «тяжелой артиллерии» — песне «Mr. Blue Sky» британской группы Electric Light Orchestra (или просто ELO). Это одна из популярнейших песен коллектива, ее можно услышать во множестве кинокартин. Она появилась в 1977 году на альбоме «Out of the Blue» и изначально представляла собой заключительную часть сюиты «Concerto for a Rainy Day», но со временем получила хождение как самостоятельное произведение.
Автор песни Джефф Линн рассказывает, что сочинил ее, когда увидел, как после двух недель мрачной дождливой погоды в горах, где он жил, вдруг выглянуло солнце. «Мистер Голубое Небо, пожалуйста, скажите, почему вам нужно было скрываться так долго? Что мы делали неправильно?» — поется в припеве.
Своим звучанием «Mr. Blue Sky» очень напоминает The Beatles, что добавляет песне особой жизнерадостности. Это гимн первому солнечному дню после недель холодных проливных дождей.
